He has also founded, designed and coordinated projects and programs dealing with conflict prevention, inter-sectarian violence, post-war reconciliation and conflict resolution for the Center for Conflict Resolution and the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Lebanon.

Description: Featuring a screening of the film “The Coca Cola Case” at 6:00pm, followed by a video conference with Bob Perillo, a lawyer working on the Guatemalan case and 2 unionists from Guatemala.

The Coca Cola company has been and is currently being sued on issues of human rights abuses in US federal courts. In addition it has had several problems concerning environmental pollution in a variety of places around the world. Through this event we hope to create awareness on two cases: Columbia and Guatemala, exploring the complexity embedded in both contexts and the importance of union in South America. As informed and socially aware citizens, we should discuss the implications of the University’s monopoly with Coca Cola. Come, learn and give your opinion on issues of great concern for every informed citizen!
